Every year I make the long haul to London’s Excel Center to see what new slots will be unveiled by all the big slot software developers at the ICE Totally Gaming Conference. Every year the booths get bigger, the slots get sleaker, the freebies get more exotic and the crowds get more and more massive. We made sure to visit all the major booths this time around such as NetEnt, QuickSpin, Play’n Go, Microgaming, BetSoft Gaming, Aristocrat, IGT and more to see what new slots we can look forward to in 2017.
First stop of course is the NetEnt booth where I put on a pair of VR goggles to check out their new Gonzo’s Quest VR slot to play the game in Virtual Reality. This is definitely going to be the future of online slots and NetEnt is leading the way in the technology. Two new slots were announced by NetEnt this year. The first is Planet of the Apes based on the blockbuster science fiction film. The second announcement is their new Emoji Planet slot which high-lights the fascination with emojis in social media. I will of course be reviewing both of these games as soon they are available to play.
Microgaming had an outlandish affair at this conference with the display of a huge theatrical stage and sprawling piano in the center to represent their new The Phantom of the Opera slot. This will definitely be their featured 2017 slot.
Yggdrasil Gaming showcased two new slots. The first has just been released. Find out the full details of their Beauty and The Beast slot here. Another award winning slot from the developer to be released in 2017 is The Jungle Book slot.
Quickspin demonstrated two new slots- Leprechaun Hills and Sakura Fortune. Meanwhile, Play’n Go announced their Prissy Princess, Matsuri, and Viking Runecraft titles.
Last but not least, BetSoft Gaming have three fantastic new 3D slots to look forward to which are Sin City Nights, Slotfather II and Fa Fa Twins.
